Trends for Spring: Unique Wood Watches by Jord + GIVEAWAY!

Hey guys! It’s been a while here at the blog {always posting over at @piperellice on Instagram though!}, but I’ve got a long list of things to share with you here and I wanted to kick it all off with an awesome collab + giveaway for you!

I’ve long admired Jord Wood Watches and their commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and bloggers! You may have seen other blogs featuring a variety of their stunning styles, and that’s because they believe in the community that is the blog/social media world which I love. So when they reached out to me I was both honored and excited

When I first saw these wood watches a couple of years ago, I initially thought they would be a great fit for my wood-working husband. I’m now able to say I think they’re great for the ladies too. From the beautiful packaging, to the variety of face and wood colors that can be customized with mixing and matching, there is a style for every taste. I absolutely loved how smooth the wood felt {doesn’t feel at all like what you’d think a wooden band would} and it is a whole lot lighter than the metal watch I normally wear. Plus, it fit perfectly thanks to their super easy to follow fitting guide.

The neutral wooden design of my Frankie Zebrawood & Champagne watch is perfect for day-to-day wear. It’s going to become my new go-to for the office and casual weekend wear. I love how it looks against the dark denim, and is such a unique piece that really grabs the eye. I like a large watch face, and this one is a great size that doesn’t interfere when I bend my hand but is really easy to read at a glance. This style watch comes in couple other wood colors and some additional face colors like navy blue and emerald green!

Now that I’ve worn mine, I’ll have to get one for CJM soon. These make a great gift for anyone in your life. I like to add a special touch to any gift I give, and most Jord watch backplates can be engraved as well as their cedar humidor presentation boxes, too. Jord {pronounced Yode} is an American company based out of St. Louis and they’re constantly developing new designs. The watches are are a sophisticated mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components.

If you’re looking for a gift {or to gift yourself!}, Jord + I have a great opportunity for you. Simply click the link below and register to win $100 off any Jord Wood Watch! You’ll be contacted in a month via email once the contest closes if you’re the winner. Be sure to enter, as every entrant will get a little surprise, too!

Celebrate Summer

This post contains affiliate links.
It's hard to believe that next week is the Fourth of July, and summer is in full swing! I wanted to let you know real quick about a couple of Amazon steals that you shouldn't pass up going into this patriotic holiday.

I'm a big fan of the Lisi Lerch earrings, but sometimes am fearful of committing to a fun color or different style that might only work for one outfit or occasion. Luckily, Amazon has a ton of inspired and similar looks that would be perfect to pump up your look for Independence day! Any of these would be cute with a simple white t-shirt and denim or  shorts, or a easy breezy swing dress on what is almost always one of the hottest days of summer. Plus, these classic colors will carry you through the season and into football and even holiday parties.

And the best part is, these finds are super inexpensive, and tend to be less heavy than the real deal. But wait, there's more! Most of these styles can be ordered in red, white and/or blue, too...so if there is a particular style you like, click the link below to see if it's available in your preferred color.

Did you see this super delicious and easy looking sparkler cake on Facebook? I definitely want to try this! Last year, I baked the 'flag cake' and it almost killed me. Like, literally sitting on the kitchen floor covered in wax paper trying to cut and layer cakes. Too much!

What are you doing for the Fourth?

Warby Parker Spring Collection

Do you know about Warby Parker? The eyewear company that allows you to try on frames in the comfort of your home and also has a 'Buy a Pair, Give a Pair' approach to their business?

Today I am partnering with Warby Parker to share the launch of their spring collection, inspired by the bold colors and excitement of the circus.

I've admired their clean, classic designs for a long time {see Game Day Get Ups, here}, and will now be a devoted forever fan with the inclusion of a design named Piper! It almost feels like this look was made just for me. I typically choose tortoise shell sunglasses because the mix of colors not only provides texture and depth while wearing, but also coordinates with a wide variety of outfits.

The Piper frame features updated color combinations, as well as crystal embeds along the bottom rim for an added touch of flair. That peony pair...of course I like anything that sports a little pink!

Of course, sunnies aren't their only staple. For me, eye glasses is where the 'try on at home' feature becomes so important. Just last year, I was sitting at the eye doctor, trying on dozens of frames, looking into tiny, horrible mirrors. But never again! Warby Parker lets you try out up to five frames in the comfort of your home...using your mirrors, under your lighting, and near your closet to see if the style is something that works for you.

I think this clear design is very unique! I never would have thought to try clear frames, but it intrigues me. I tend to gravitate towards darker glasses of any type, but the brightness in this spring collection is definitely inspiring.

Playful polka dots complement all of these fun spring styles. This white cashmere pom pom sweater is beautiful, even if the price tag is not! Check out all of the Warby Parker spring collection here, and use the hashtag #WarbyHomeTryOn on Instagram or Twitter to easily find photos and comment on the styles you think suit you the best!

V-Day Her Way

I'm in major countdown mode right now. 95 days until I get married. 144 days until Christopher graduates from pharmacy school. And 18 days until Valentine's Day!

So what to give those girls in your life? The Hotty First Impressions Lilly Pulitzer pattern is one of the most popular patterns in recent years. Why not a floral scarf that is truly better than a bouquet? If your sweetie is obsessed with all things Breakfast at Tiffany's and Audrey Hepburn, this inspired eye mask along with some Lisi Lerch tassel earrings will do just the trick. I just got my earrings in a few days ago, and I can't wait to wear them this spring and summer!

Continuing with the gold trend...Lucite gold and sparkly Kendra Scott bangles. I think I would wear these every. single. day. I love them! I'm also loving all of the marble looking covers coming out right now for iPhones, Macs, etc. I really like this case because it's got protective edges and I'm forever dropping my phone.
