Cozumel Photo Shoot with Mik 'n Drik Photography

When we were on our cruise in May, we made a stop in Cozumel, Mexico. We had been there before and it was something that attracted us to the 2019 itinerary. I love exploring the little island that is full of fun and life. I knew I wanted to try and find a photographer at one of our stops to take some professional pictures of us since we haven't had any officially taken since our wedding. I'm so glad that I found Mik 'n Drik Photography in Cozumel! Oleksandr & Nadine were the sweetest couple to work with. They picked us up right outside the cruise ship terminal and drove us all over the island to some beautiful spots that we could have never found ourselves. They were really easy to talk to and answered our many questions about island life and the cruise industry.

We love the photos they took, and I wanted to share a few here! We're saving some for our Christmas card which I've already designed {Christmas in July I guess!}, but here's a little sneak peek! If you're ever in Cozumel and in need of photographers, definitely reach out to this duo: Mik 'n Drik.

My Lilly Pulitzer is an old pattern from a sale a few years ago, but you can shop the short and long version of my sequin dress below!

Barrington Gifts Tote & Travel bag -- Call to Order (478) 272-5112

Cheers to a wonderful weekend! Even though I'm not in school anymore, it feels like summer is ending as our area schools get ready to go back in the next week and a half. Doesn't it feel like this summer has just flown by? We've been so busy, and will continue to be through August and football season, but this weekend I'm taking some time to really organize my closets and pantry.

While you're relaxing this weekend, enjoy a sip of something delicious and scroll through the second set of photos from my photo shoot with Smith's and Mint of Dublin. I loved the lighting of this outdoor cocktail hour setting so much! Even the InstaStories of this was beautiful.

Two things I'm loving: the striped jumpsuit and the Barrington Gifts bags. The jumpsuit is the softest thing ever, and great for a date night during this warm weather! And I want to order these bags for myself--I have the tote in the brown pattern with navy monogram {for Georgia Southern games prior to the clear-bag rule}, but I love this white/gray pattern too! I'd like to see a navy and pink monogram personally, and the overnight bag is a really great size. Birthday presents anyone...?

Fall Senior Photos

A few weeks ago, I got to take a few senior pictures for my brother-in-law {that sounds way too formal for the now really tall kid I've watched grow up over the last seven years!}. It was a beautiful fall day right as the time was changing. Downtown Dublin has so many great picture places, so we spent the afternoon exploring our little town.  We're planning on doing some more in the spring when he gets his soccer stuff together, and we will highlight some of his band accomplishments too!

picture practice

Last weekend, I spent the day in Statesboro hanging out with friends and enjoying the spring day. My Statesboro family had asked me to take some family and senior pictures, and I was thrilled and honored to practice my "fancy camera" skills. Kalli is a tried and true pageant princess, so she's super comfortable in front of a camera which made my job a lot easier.

It was great practice for me, and I'm so glad to still be taking part in their special family moments!

Mid-March Recap

It's amazing to me how fast time flies as an adult. I remember being little, and counting down the days to whatever event {okay, maybe not so little. Maybe like, 16...} because time just moved so slowly. Now, I am feeling like I need just two, three, four, more hours in the day to get it all done!

But here we are, and we've lived in our new house and town for just a little over a month. And what a month it's been! During that time we've gone through two rounds of living room paint, too few boxes, and wayyy too many trips to Home Depot. We've had our first weekend guests, made an eight our round trip to pick up dining room furniture, and have crafted spaces and unique pieces to fill our home. And we've had a lot of fun!

A few of my favorite highlights of the last month:

I took a photography class with the amazing Frank Fortune {longtime Georgia Southern photographer, etc.} in the two weeks I had off between jobs. It was so educational, and has really helped me understand my camera much better. I love seeing an instant improvement in my shots, and look forward to learning even more and refining my hobby even further.

I experienced my first Dublin St. Patrick's season. 52 official events span the end of February to the end of March, but the pinnacle event is definitely Super Saturday and the St. Patrick's Parade followed by an Arts & Crafts  Festival. We had a float for work, and it was really cool to work on that together and then walk the parade route through town. So many people! I kept hearing how huge of an event it was, but until you actually see it, its hard to believe.

I'm looking forward to heading to North Georgia for the weekend to see all my sweet little friends who were in our wedding, and watching the new Beauty & the Beast movie with them. Happy weekend, friend!
